Rapper Eminem’s daughter has been spotted living a remarkably normal life.
It might seem like every nepotism baby seamlessly slides into Hollywood and snags a cushy gig, but some have chosen a much more low-profile existence.
Alaina Scott is Eminem’s eldest daughter; she was the biological daughter of the rapper’s ex Kim Mather’s twin sister, but Eminem adopted her when she was a child.
Scott, 30, has been spotted working as an esthetician (skin care specialist) at a hair salon and spa in America.
In photos obtained by The Sun, she’s seen working in the salon and happily chatting with customers.
It’s very normal girl stuff.
Eminem is very private and aloof about his personal life. However, the pair seem to be close, and he even walked her down the aisle at her wedding when she married her long-time partner Matt Moeller earlier this year like just your average proud dad.
Sure, Eminem might be private, but Scott is pretty public and is happy to share her life online.
She’s amassed over 100,000 social media followers on Instagram and often posts about body positivity.
Interestingly, her Instagram doesn’t reveal that she’s living a life rubbing shoulders with A-listers or hanging out with the rap community in which her father is a legend.
Instead, her Instagram account looks just like any millennial woman’s. There are photos of her on holidays, bikini snaps, and plenty of wedding content.
It is less lifestyles of the rich and famous and more relatable.
Instead, it is just photos of her having fun on weekends, going on holidays and posting bikini photos.
It’s very ordinary stuff.
Earlier this year she posted a few snaps of her looking fabulous in different swimsuits and wrote about how all bodies are beautiful.
“I’ve never been the skinniest person in the room, and my body fluctuates between mid-sized and plus-sized,” she wrote.
She explained that occasionally, people post “mean” comments underneath her photos on Instagram about her weight.
Scott explained that, ultimately, she’d learnt to ignore the comments and be comfortable in her own skin.
“My body looks a lot like your bodies,” she pointed out.
Eminem has never spoken much about his relationship with Scott he did confirm to Rolling Stone in 2004 that he’d adopted her.
“I have full custody of my niece. My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at,” he said.
He has also paid tribute to Alaina in his smash hit ‘Mockingbird’ where he refers to her as Lainey.
“Lainey, uncle’s crazy ain’t he? Yeah, but he loves you, girl and you better know it. We’re all we got in this world.”
