A TV star looks unrecognisable 18 years after a smash hit noughties show that made him famous.

The American actor and film producer was seen out and about walking his two dogs in New York, reports The Sun.

Zachary John Quinto is best known for his role as Sylar in the series Heroes.

Heroes saw ordinary human beings develop supernatural powers and followed their lives as they came to terms with their new abilities.

The show ran for four series from 2007 before being axed.

Zachary is also famous for his roles in Star Trek and American Horror Story – for the latter he was nominated for an Emmy Award.

The star, now 47, was spotted out in New York City.

He donned a grey top and blue trousers as he walked along clutching his dogs’ leads in his left hand and his phone in his right.

Zachary looked deep in thought as he scrolled on his device with his headphones in.

It was after Heroes that Zachary went on to appear in Star Trek, American Horror Story, and The Boys in the Band.

For his role in AHS: Asylum, Zachary was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

However, he lost out to his AHS co-star, James Cromwell.

While discussing his film debut in Star Trek, Zachary told the franchise’s official website: “Well, for all intents and purposes, Star Trek was my first movie.

“So, I didn’t really have anything to compare it to in terms of scope and scale at the time.

“It was an incredibly gratifying experience, creatively and professionally and personally, to work on the first movie.

“And I was really encouraged by the way everyone responded to it when it came out.”

Currently, Zachary is starring in the drama Brilliant Minds, which he posted about on social media.

He penned: “Tonight is the night! Premiering on NBC at 10pm,” on his Instagram grid.

Just a few days ago, he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about his new show.

In his personal life, Zachary and Miles McMillan called it quits after nearly six years together.

In February 2019, it was confirmed they had split earlier that year.

At the time, break-up rumours were swirling when the former couple arrived at separate Oscars after parties.

An insider told People: “They amicably split earlier this year.”
