Australian singer and former Eurovision star Jessica Mauboy is reportedly expecting her first baby with her childhood sweetheart.

Jessica Mauboy is reportedly pregnant with her first child.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the Eurovision star has told family, close friends, and her musical creative family over the last week about the heartwarming news.

It’s believed the singer, who rose to fame on Australian Idol, is around five months pregnant and is due to give birth next year.

At the weekend, Mauboy performed at a combined fundraiser in Western Australia at the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and Children’s Cancer Institute.

She wore oversized black trousers and glittery jacket outfit that showed a small growing baby bump.

The singer first met her husband, Themeli ‘Them’ Magripilis, when she was 18 at a nightclub.

They got engaged in 2019 and eventually tied the knot, walking down the aisle in July, 2022, in Darwin. After the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated with 300 of their closest friends and family at Mindil Beach Casino.

“We had a girls’ night,” Jess told Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley during an episode of their Life Uncut podcast in May 2022 about the first time she and her partner first met in the flesh.

“(My friend) points to this person in the crowd and goes ‘I want you to crab claw him on the butt, like his cheek’,” the TV star shared.

“At the time I didn’t know who he was, but my friends had known of him and thought he was a very handsome man.”

After seeing him around Darwin, Jess finally made the plunge and asked a friend for his number. “I texted and said ‘I’d really like this to work, how about you?’ and I didn’t think I would do anything in my life like that.”

Earlier this year, she confessed that they almost split at one point.

“We were eight years in a long distance relationship and we felt really apart, we weren’t doing things together, we weren’t creating a future,” she shared with The Daily Telegraph.

“Finally we worked out how to salvage our relationship and made the move together and eight more years later, we’re living this beautiful life together in Sydney.”
