While most celebrities keep their post-baby weight loss methods a secret, Kate Hudson has offered fans a refreshingly honest take on her bid to shed the kilos after giving birth.
Eight weeks after giving birth to daughter Rani Rose, the 39-year-old shared a selfie to Instagram and revealed her plans to start losing weight slowly.
Posing in a sports bra and leggings, Hudson wrote in the caption that she was ready to start trying to lose weight after getting her newborn settled into a routine.
“I’m ready to start taking a little time in the day focusing on myself,” she said. “Why? Because I wanna be around a long time for these three kiddos of mine.”
Hudson explained that she wanted to lose 11 kilos in time for her next movie, which would begin shooting in the northern hemisphere spring (March to June) next year.
“I’d like to try new workouts and eat as healthy as I can. I wanna do all this and keep up milk production, raise my kids, work everyday, make time for my man, have girlfriend time and stay sane!” Hudson said.
The Almost Famous star gave birth to Rani on October 2. It’s the first child for her musician boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa.
The actor previously revealed they had decided to keep a low profile during her first trimester because she was ill with severe morning sickness.
“It was the most sick first trimester of all my children. Boomerangs have made me nauseous,
“Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food Instagrams make me queasy and thinking too much about Insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been,” Hudson wrote on Instagram.
Hudson has two other children, seven-year-old son Bingham from her relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and eldest son Ryder, 14, whose dad is The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson.
