Actress Sarah Roberts has broken her silence months after her ex-husband James Stewart’s moved on with Home And Away co-star Ada Nicodemou.

Sarah Roberts has broken her silence in the wake of her ex-husband James Stewart’s new romance with Home And Away co-star Ada Nicodemou.

Roberts, who also starred on H&A from 2017 to 2021, has remained relatively quiet when it was confirmed in May that her ex was now dating his onscreen love interest.

However, over the weekend, the 39-year-old shared an update on how she was coping after she and Stewart, 48, quietly separated and finalised their divorce in March this year after five years of marriage.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Roberts thanked her close friends, choreographer Danielle Evrat and her partner Ben Miles, for helping her through a challenging last few months.

“These two. Brought me back to life. Literally,” Roberts captioned a video montage of her life lately. “Put a roof over my head, filled me with wine, cookies, memories, (the best) carbonara (I’ve ever had!), giggles, deep conversations, self-confidence, a new found zest for life. A safe haven on this twisty-turny journey.”

Roberts thanked her friends Danielle and Ben for getting her through the last few months.

The actress said the duo literally took her in during her time of need.

“The only regret I have from living with them is that I didn’t take enough photos but I definitely filled the memory bank to the absolute brim. #herestothenextchapter.”

It was only in April this year that the actress publicly revealed in an interview with Stellar that her marriage had broken down.

Speaking to the magazine, Roberts said she had been “afraid” to talk about their split publicly until due to “stigma and shame”.

“I just want to say that I am divorced,” Roberts shared. “What I’ve learnt from this journey of becoming a divorcee is that it’s so important to reach out to others who have experienced similar things and not hide in the shadows.”

“I hid for a very long time. There were times when I didn’t feel like I could see the light or a way out of these big, complex emotions that I was feeling.

“But I hope that by just being honest today, I’ll free myself, and potentially free a lot of other people, to be able to speak their truth”.

In the interview, Roberts suggested the pair – who fell in love on H&A in 2017 and were married two years later – had grown apart.

“My belief of marriage is that two people grow and learn from each other together. Sometimes people just grow apart and that’s OK,” she said.

“I got to a point where I realised I couldn’t grow in the way I wanted to within this particular relationship.”

The couple play an onscreen husband and wife on the show.

In May, theDaily Telegraph reported that Nicodemou, 47, and her partner of eight years, Sydney businessman Adam Rigby, had also secretly split at the end of last year.

“Everything is amicable,” a source told the paper at the time. “They remain friends but decided to go their separate ways.”

Later that month, Nicodemou and Stewart were revealed to be dating after playing lovers Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan on the long-running Seven soap for five years.

Rumours of a romance between the pair began circulating late last year when they were reportedly seen kissing at the Seven Network Christmas party.

Photos then surfaced of Nicodemou and Stewart packing on the PDA in Sydney on Anzac Day. The couple enjoyed time at the Royal Hotel in Randwick before heading to a nearby restaurant for dinner.
