Former One Direction member Harry Styles struggles through questions about his ex Taylor Swift

IT’S a well-known fact that Taylor Swift loves writing songs about her ex-boyfriends but now Harry Styles appears to have done the same to her — but that doesn’t mean he wants to talk about it.

NEVER has a member of One Direction been more awkward than the time Harry Styles was asked if he wrote a song about his ex Taylor Swift.

The former One Direction member headed to UK’s BBC Radio 1 yesterday to debut his first solo album Harry Styles, explaining each song with breakfast host Nick Grimshaw.

While Grimshaw and Styles have always been good friends, the radio host seemed determined to push their friendship to the limits, asking 23-year-old Styles plenty of awkward questions.

The two joked through the entire interview about all of Styles’ songs until Grimshaw brought up his song Two Ghosts.

“This is the song that all your eagle eyed fans ... they like paused it and zoomed in on things ... apparently Harry Styles has written a song about Taylor Swift,” Grimshaw tells him.

“You’re gonna be asked about this, I’m doing you a favour here. What is this song about?” he adds.

“Weird favour,” Styles snaps back.

“Don’t make me go to the lyrics,” Grimshaw tells him.

“Uhm, I mean, I think it’s pretty self explanatory,” Styles says.

“To you, but not to us,” Grimshaw replies as Styles eyes dart around the room.

A red-faced Styles then turns to his manager Jeffrey Azoff for direction.

“Help me Jeffrey,” he cries, before giving the radio host an answer that would rival a politician.

“I think, you know, it’s about, sometimes things change and you can do all the same things and sometimes it’s just different. You know,” Styles says.

But Grimshaw isn’t letting him get away with it that easily.

“That is a roundabout the hillsy answer,” the host tells him.

“2017. Philosopher. London, England,” Styles adds before Grimshaw hits the nail on the head.

“So here we go, the one about Taylor Swift. Two Ghosts,” he says to which Styles simply screams out and throws his fists in the air.

The lyrics in question are as follows:

“Same lips red, same eyes blue. Same white shirt, couple more tattoos. But it’s not you and it’s not me. Tastes so sweet, looks so real. Sounds like something that I used to feel.”

Taylor Swift’s songs Out of the Woods and Style have always been rumoured to be about her relationship with Harry Styles.

The pair started dating back in December, 2012, two months after Swift released Red.

Swift’s fifth album 1989 was released in October, 2014, with many of the songs alluding to her relationship with Styles.
