David Harbour has broken his silence over rumours his marriage to Lily Allen is on the rocks.
Harbour and Allen tied the knot in Las Vegas in September 2020, during a ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
Rumours of a rift between the couple began after Allen seemingly unfollowed her husband on Instagram just weeks after celebrating their third wedding anniversary on the platform.
After weeks of speculation, the Stranger Things star has assured fans that their marriage is “so great”.
“Ultimately, it’s very good because you get to know someone,” he told PEOPLE. “We have these two kids, and it’s so great.”
Harbour, who shares stepchildren Ethel, 11 and Marnie, 10 with Allen, went on to share that the recent actor’s strike had impacted their marriage, however, due to his inability to work.
“We get to raise them and stuff, and as our marriage continues, we grow closer and closer.”
“But, let me tell you, my wife likes when I go to work because it’s nice for her to have her life and me to have my life and for us not to just annoy each other by being around all the time,” he continued.
In September, Allen posted a tribute to Harbour on their third wedding anniversary, writing, “3 years with this guy, 2nd best decision I ever made. 1st was that dress.”
Meanwhile, Allen, whose image has changed drastically over the years, recently opened up about her dietary habits and confessed that she sometimes “forgets” to eat.
“I’m actually really bad … I don’t really get hungry. It’s when I see food I’m like ‘oh yeah I should eat,” she said on the Off-Menu podcast.
She also said that being a busy mum-of-two often got in the way of her “love” of eating.
“I love food. I love eating, but I’m just not very good at remembering to do things,” she said. “I get up in the morning and I’m looking after the kids and I just forget.”
