IT MAY have been a damp day when they wed but the wedding vows between cricket hero David Warner and ironwoman Candice Falzon brought on the real waterworks.
“How could I not have a tear in my eye when I saw Candice walk around the corner looking like the most beautiful bride in the world?” Warner tells Woman’s Day magazine, out today. “I was struck again by just how lucky I was to find ‘The One’ – the woman I will spend the rest of my life with.”
Candice, 30, wore a $25,000 custom-made gown gifted from Pallas Couture and a heck of a lot of diamonds for her special day.
“I felt like a princess,” she said.
The loved-up pair who have a seven-month-old daughter, Ivy Mae, were married on Easter long weekend at the country wedding estate of Terrara House in Nowra in NSW.
David and his three groomsmen arrived by helicopter while Ivy Mae and David’s nine-year-old nephew, Kaden, served as flower girl and boy.
It’s been a tough year for the couple who lost a dear friend in Phillip Hughes but it’s nice to see them enjoy their wedding day and honeymoon.
