Golden Bachelor stars Bear and Sunny look more loved up than ever in new outing

Reality TV’s newest couple look more loved up than ever as they take their once-secret relationship to Sydney’s beaches in a public display.

Golden Bachelor star Barry “Bear” Myrden and his chosen partner, Sunny Long, are going stronger than ever – and there’s plenty of photos to prove it.

The couple were seen strolling through Manly on Sydney’s Northern Beaches over the weekend looking very much in love.

For the outing, Bear, an infrastructure engineer, showed off his fit physique in a short-sleeve button-up, while Sunny, a CEO, looked stunning in a figure-hugging grey dress that she accessorised with a straw hat and designer bag.

The lovebirds were then seen enjoying a leisurely afternoon at Felons Manly, where they caught up with Bear’s mates before the duo then drove off in a shiny red convertible.

The very public outing comes weeks after the Golden Bachelor finale aired on Ten, where Bear declared his love for Sunny, 58, on a mountaintop in South Africa.

Filmed back in April, the couple had to keep their relationship top secret and behind closed doors until after the finale.

But now that the inaugural season has come to a close, the pair have gone full-throttle with their relationship in the public space.

“Our first date in public!️” Sunny captioned a photo of them at O Bar and Dining restaurant in Sydney on November 18, three days after the finale aired.

“It is such a relief to not keep this a secret anymore!”

Sunny and Bear are enjoying life behind closed doors too, spending quality time as a blended family with their respective children: she has two daughters Chloe and Penny, while he has three sons Charlie, Jack and Declan.

“Belated birthday celebrations for Bear!” Sunny captioned a series of photos from Bear’s at-home celebrations.

She also shared a clip of the occasion where the couple of seven months couldn’t keep their hands off each other, with a smitten Sunny adding the classic track This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) as the video’s backing music.

Two weeks ago, the couple were faced with their first taste of the rumour mill regarding their relationship when a tabloid report suggested Bear chose Sunny over runner-up Janette, 61, because Sunny was “very sexually active”, and she apparently let Bear know it before the finale.

Sunny has since hit back at these claims, telling Yahoo Lifestyle that there’s nothing wrong with a woman discussing sex with a potential partner.

“The fact that some people think I ‘won’ because I spoke openly about sex really shows how much stigma is still attached to sex, especially when it comes to mature women,” she said.

“When the truth is that it’s a normal, healthy part of many relationships at every age. There is nothing shameful about that.”

“We were on a show to find love, and as my feelings for him grew, I wanted to understand his feelings around intimacy — that’s a normal part of the kind of relationship I want, and it’s a perfectly valid thing for a woman to care about,” she added.
