David’s olive branch to Brooklyn amid Beckham ‘feud’

Amid rumours of a family feud, David Beckham has given a small shout-out to son Brooklyn after the 26-year-old was absent from the soccer legend’s 50th birthday celebrations.

David Beckham has seemingly offered a small public olive branch to son, Brooklyn, amid the famous family's rumoured feud.

The 50-year-old soccer legend posted an Instagram tribute to his wife, Victoria Beckham, on Mother’s Day with a throwback photo that featured all four of their children, including 26-year-old Brooklyn.

The throwback photo featured former Spice Girl-turned-fashion-designer, Victoria, holding newborn daughter Harper alongside the couple’s sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz.

“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mommy,” David wrote alongside the photo, tagging his three sons’ Instagram handles. He used a hashtag to mention his daughter, who isn’t on Instagram.

The same day, the Sunday Times in London ran an interview with Brooklyn, which was conducted in March, where he spoke about bonding with his father over his interest in race car driving.

“It’s something that me and my dad bonded over,” Brooklyn told the publication at Miami’s Formula E’s Evo Sessions two months ago. “My dad’s had some pretty cool cars.”

Brooklyn is allegedly at odds with his whole family, to the point where he and wife Nicola Peltz skipped a multitude of celebrations for David’s 50th birthday in recent weeks.

Victoria, Romeo, his girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, Cruz and Harper were all present at David’s star-studded party at London’s Core restaurant.

Rumour has it that the family drama stems from Brooklyn and Peltz disapproving of Romeo’s relationship with Turnbull, whom Brooklyn allegedly dated years ago. Sources, meanwhile, told the New York Post that’s “nonsense”.

TMZ sources claimed Brooklyn and his wife are “fed up” with how his “toxic” and “narcissistic” parents treat them.

Insiders also claimed that David “verbally berates” Brooklyn on the phone.

Additionally, an Us Weekly source alleged that Brooklyn and Peltz’s drama with his parents has been going on since their April 2022 wedding, when Peltz allegedly refused to wear a gown by Victoria’s fashion label.

“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” said the source. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”

The insider added that David and Victoria “are over” the alleged family drama and have “thrown in the towel over the whole thing.”

Along with David’s party in London, Brooklyn and Peltz also skipped his dad’s birthday bash at Cipriani Downtown Miami and Victoria’s fashion show in Paris in March.

The TMZ sources have reported that Brooklyn and Peltz refuse to attend any family function that Turnbull is at.
