Angelina Jolie is seeking help for her son Pax as he remains in hospital following an e-bike crash, it has been helped.

The A-lister is said to be distraught amid claims from the 20-year-old’s friends that his behaviour has been increasingly reckless in recent months.

The Oscar winner has been by Pax’s hospital bed since he crashed into a car during rush hour in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and paramedics initially thought he might be suffering from a brain bleed, TMZ reports.

Page Six is reporting that it was not the first time the young man had been involved in incidents involving two and four wheeled vehicles.

“His friends are concerned about him,” an insider told TMZ. “He’s being reckless. They’re worried.”

Pax, who was born in Vietnam, was adopted by Jolie at the age of three, joining siblings Maddox and Zahara.

Jolie also has three children, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

BRAD PITT ‘DISTRAUGHT’

Brad Pitt is said to be “distraught” and “upset” he has been unable to speak to estranged son Pax after the crash.

The young man complained of head pain before he was taken to hospital for further medical treatment.

Pax, who also suffered a hip injury in the crash, had been riding down Los Feliz Boulevard around 5pm local time during peak hour traffic when he ran into the back of a stationary car.

Pax has been estranged from Pitt since an alleged domestic violence incident, which was said to have occurred during a private jet flight from France to Los Angeles in 2016.

Jolie accused Pitt of physically and verbally abusing her and one of their children. In an Instagram post from 2020, Pax called his Pitt a “world class a***hole” and an “awful human being”.

Despite the ongoing animosity, a source told the Daily Mail that “Brad is distraught and worried over Pax’s accident, but he is unable to reach him”.

“It is very upsetting to Brad whenever he hears of one of the kids being hurt and he feels completely powerless because there is nothing that he can do at all,” the source told the outlet.

“A father’s inclination would be to go to the hospital, or to call him. He’s tried so many times but the kids won’t take his calls. His hands are tied.

“Brad doesn’t think that Pax should be driving a scooter without a helmet to begin with - he should have been in a car,” the insider said, seemingly in a subtle swipe at Jolie.

It comes as witnesses feared Pax was “feared dead” after the crash.

TMZ reported that Pax was lying in the street, unconscious with witnesses “incredibly worried” he had died in the accident.

He regained consciousness as paramedics attended the scene.

TMZ reported paramedics were concerned Pax may have suffered bleeding on the brain at the time of the accident.

Police sources said he crashed his bike into the back of the car, which had stopped for a red light at a busy intersection.

The car’s driver got out to check on him before police and paramedics arrived.

Pax has recently been seen around Los Angeles riding on a Talaria Sting R MX4 e-bike, which costs around $US3,000 ($A4575), but it’s unclear if he crashed the same bike.

Pax is estranged from his father Brad Pitt, but has shown an interest in the Hollywood movie scene. He had a voiceover part in Kung Fu Panda 3, as well as an uncredited role in Angelina Jolie’s movie Maleficent.
