Big update in Jackass star Steve-O’s plans for ‘D-cup boob job’

Jackass star Steve-O made world headlines when he announced plans to undergo breast implant surgery. Now, he’s got more news.

Jackass star Steve-O has reneged on his promise to get breast implants.

The prankster, 50, known for his outlandish and sometimes life-threatening stunts, announced in July that he would go under the knife and get breast implants, which he would then use as fodder for future pranks.

He said he had consulted with doctors and would be getting “D-cup” breasts – but planned to have the implants removed after two months, once he’d gotten enough mileage (and content) out of the new additions.

Those pronouncements made world headlines – but now, Steve-O says one conversation changed his mind about the stunt.

He told Consequence in a recent interview that he spoke to a transgender person, asked them what they thought of his planned body modification. Their resulting conversation had a “profound impact” on him.

The Jackass star has been putting his body through the wringer for decades.

“I asked the transgender person if I could run something by them, and I had a conversation with this person that had a profound impact on me.”

Steve-O’s plan had been to “get a boob job and just film a bunch of legitimately funny hidden camera pranks with me in disguise, in various disguises, and then revealing who I actually am, and just funny endurance stunts and whatever,” he explained on the X5 podcast in July.

Steve-O said the transgender person he spoke to voiced concerns about him trying to “trick people into thinking that I was a woman and then fooling them, and then kind of celebrating the idea of hate towards [trans people] — that was a thing.”

They then had a wider discussion about the persecution transgender people currently face in the US. Steve-O said the person he spoke to “described how they weren’t allowed to use the bathroom at their place of work, that there were like maybe 28 states in the country that would arrest them for having an ID that said female on it. That there were politicians making concerted efforts to lock them up in internment camps. It was really pretty heartbreaking, the level of oppression that was described.”

It made Steve-O decide against the extreme stunt.

“Framed like that, I thought about it in a way that I hadn’t before, where you know, wow, maybe it’s not all fun and games. Especially the pranks,” he said.

A self-described “body modification guy,” Steve-O recently underwent another eye-catching change to his appearance: For his 50th birthday, he asked singer Post Malone “to tattoo a d**k on [his] forehead”. Less than a week later, the “Congratulations” singer came through on his process and inked a phallus on Steve-O’s face.
