British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been spotted taking an aerial tour of Hobart and surrounds.

BRITISH celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has been spotted taking a scenic flight over Hobart on Thursday.
Mr Ramsay has taken to social media to document his travels in the city so far, which included a joy flight with local seaplane company Above and Beyond Tasmania.
Mr Ramsay was also spotted in and around Hobart’s waterfront precinct at both Macq01 and outside the Grand Chancellor hotel.
In a Facebook post on their company page Above and Beyond Tasmania wrote, “What a pleasure to hang out with this gentleman @gordongram this morning.
“We hope you enjoyed your flight. You are welcome back anytime.”

Mr Ramsay is in the country to launch his book Gordon Ramsay Quick and Delicious Summer Book Party hosted by publishes Hachette Australia, but he has quickly converted his tour into a fundraiser to support the bushfire appeal.
In a tweet, Mr Ramsay has declared he is “devastated” by the bushfires engulfing the country, and is the process of organising a charity relief lunch on Monday in Melbourne in aid of Red Cross.

Above and Beyond Tasmania are a relative newcomer to the Hobart seaplane scene, opening in December 2018 as a joint venture between father-and-son duo Gerald and Henry Ellis.

Along with a 10-minute scenic flight over the state’s capital, the company also offer flights out to Port Arthur and Pumphouse Point at Lake St Clair.
