Tiffany Scanlon defends topless Maxim shoot with girlfriend Megan Marx

TIFFANY Scanlon has hit out at her haters after copping heat for posing topless in Maxim magazine with her girlfriend, Megan Marx.

TIFFANY Scanlon has blasted critics, after being targeted by trolls over her racy Maxim magazine cover shoot with girlfriend Megan Marx.

The former The Bachelor contestants posed topless for the publication, after being crowned ‘Couple of the Year’ in the Maxim Awards.

It was meant as a celebration of their love, but many people online have accused them of over-sexualising their union.

And Scanlon isn’t having a bar of it.

She took to Instagram to explain why she and her girlfriend had decided to do it.

“Hey, just me the real human being with real human emotions behind this account. See my face ... I’m excited and I’m super proud of what @megan.leto.marx and I have achieved here,” she wrote.

Scanlon went on to say she knew it would be “controversial” and “ruffle feathers,” but decided to go ahead with it anyway.

“I do what I want because I want to; not for anybody else; not to impress or offend or any other reason than because I WANT TO and I honestly don’t need anyone’s approval.

“I have always and will always continue to advocate acceptance and no labels in all areas of life. I don’t label myself or my relationship; I simply live and love and create life on my own terms.”

She also praised the men’s magazine for supporting her and Marx’s relationship.

“The shoot was tasteful and had less nudity than some of our other shared photos on social media and the interview had everything we wanted to say.

“If you think that this is some fake anti feminist lesbianised sexual male fantasy then you are only aiding in the judgmental backward thinking of society whether you are straight, gay, bi or however else you choose to label yourself.”

It’s certainly not the first time the pair has stripped down to flaunt their love.

Earlier this week, the loved-up girls posted pictures of themselves cuddling in bed wearing matching lingerie.

Both of them captioned the pictures with a revealing look at their relationship.

“If you took the whole same-sex ‘issue’ out of our relationship, it would still be untraditional. We ordinate our own life and love terms, and somehow it works,” wrote Marx.

For her part, Scanlon quoted writer Marie Lu in a caption seemingly directed at Marx:

“You drive me insane ... You’re the scariest, most clever, bravest person I know, and sometimes I can’t catch my breath because I’m trying so hard to keep up. There will never be another like you. You realise that, don’t you? Billions of people will come and go in this world, but there will never be another like you,” she wrote.
