FINALLY, the truth. J.K. Rowling has put straight her fans’ popular theories and revealed the scent of one of her main characters. It ain’t pretty.

IF crazed Harry Potter fans are to be believed, Draco Malfoy is a werewolf and Ron Weasley is a time-travelling Dumbledore.

While we’re happy to give them points for their creativity, author J.K. Rowling is far less generous.

The fantasy world she created has continued to inspire Harry Potter maniacs long after the last novel was published in 2007 and film released four years ago.

And in one fell swoop, the woman who started it all has shot down some of her fans’ more popular, warped theories on Twitter.

To those who crow about the “evidence” that Ron Weasley is in fact Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore travelling in time to help Harry, Rowling had a two-worded response:

And, sorry guys, nothing to see here. Draco Malfoy and Severus Snape are just wizards, #yawn.

But she did shed light on a very important question about Snape’s scent, in a reminder that we should all keep a safe distance from the slimy Slytherin professor.

Rowling frequently makes headlines for her antics on Twitter, where she seems to sway between sharing exciting new details about her upcoming projects and shutting down her fans. And either way, it’s entertaining.
