FORMER Olympian Bruce Jenner has revealed a new identity and life as a woman in Vanity Fair, gracing the magazine’s cover.

“BRUCE always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie.

“Everyday he always had a secret, from morning till night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. “Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”

Bruce Jenner has revealed a new identity — and name — as a woman on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

In the story, in which the 65-year-old introduces herself as “Caitlyn”, she gives “unfettered access to [her and] her family, chronicles the tensions, traumas, and courage that shaped Caitlyn into the woman you see today”.

It is her first interview since completing her gender transformation.

“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life’,” she said of her life-altering decision.

The article chronicles her 10-hour “facial feminization” surgery on March 15 and confirms she has not undergone genital surgery.

“I don’t really get hung up,” Jenner told Vanity Fair’s contributing editor and author of Friday Night Lights Buzz Bissinger.

“A guy came in the other day and I was fully dressed — it’s just habit, I said, ‘Hi, Bruce here,’ and I went, ‘Oh f**k, it ain’t Bruce’, I was screwing up doing it.”

In the interview, Jenner describes her life of lies and the secret ways in which she would get away with wearing women’s undergarments at public appearances.

“Underneath my suit I have a bra and panty hose and this and that and thinking to myself, They know nothing about me ... Little did they know I was totally empty inside,” She said of her post-Olympic public appearances.

And while Caitlyn certainly rolls of the Kardashian tongue, TMZ reports she refused to spell her name with a “K, because she wants a clean break from [the] Kardashian moniker”.

“Sources closely associated with Bruce tell us Caitlyn wants to make it clear to her family and the world ... she is her own person,” the publication reports.

While the Jenner children from Bruce’s first two marriages have talked openly about their father’s transition, the Kardashian clan are no where to be seen within the interview.

While the piece goes into great lengths to describe the families open minds, Kendall and Kylie are noticeably absent.

“Despite the renewed relationship with their father, the Jenner children have refused to participate in Caitlyn’s docu-series for the E! network, set to debut this summer, forgoing financial gain in favor of preserving their father’s legacy,” Vanity Fair reports.

Ex-wife Kris Jenner has reportedly agreed to an interview along with Jenner’s two other ex-wives.

In addition, the KUWTK star made her “inspiring” debut on Twitter on Monday.

“I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me,” she posted.

Caitlyn’s account hit 1 million followers in four hours and five minutes, setting the record for the fastest ever account to reach the 1 million mark — faster even than President Obama’s recently launched @POTUS account, which held the record (just under five hours) for two short weeks.

In the stylised Vanity Fair photo shoot, shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz at Jenner’s Malibu home, she is seen with long, brunette locks while rocking a bangin’ body in a white corsetted bodysuit.

The Vanity Fair cover comes two months after Jenner’s public coming out in April, after years of intense speculation came to boil in a special interview with Diane Sawyer on US news program 20/20 where she identified herself as transgender.

But you’ll have to wait a little longer for the full story, with the July issue hitting US newsstands on June 9.

Jenner’s journey will continue in an E! docuseries, About Bruce, which will premiere in July.
