Bachelor Blake confirms he’s dating Louise Pillidge: ‘Sam knew I had feelings for Louise’

THE Bachelor’s Blake Garvey has confirmed that he’s dating Louise Pillidge, but claims Sam Frost knew about it all along.

Bachelor Blake and Louise announce their secret

BLAKE Garvey, aka the most hated man in Australia, is in love with Louise Pillidge and he doesn’t care what you think.

The couple sat down with Woman’s Day to set the record straight about their relationship as they plan a future together in Perth.

Blake, who proposed to Sam Frost during the show’s finale, acknowledged that he should never have got down on one knee, but said “it was such a surreal situation”.

The 31-year-old claims he spoke to Sam about his feelings for Louise shortly after he proposed but she refused to discuss the topic.

Two weeks before the finale aired on television, Blake broke up with Sam because he knew he had strong feelings for Louise.

“What ... didn’t end (after the taping) was the love I felt for Lou and as much as I tried to file it away, it kept growing,” said Blake.

“It wasn’t fair to carry on with everything. It wasn’t fair to Sam, and while she didn’t know it, it wasn’t fair to Lou, or myself.

“We had interviews booked, it was about to be announced on television that Sam and I were engaged and I just didn’t feel the romantic love I was supposed to.”

Blake popped the question to Sam but now claims it was a mistake.

So if Blake had such strong feelings for Louise, why did he boot her from the show?

“It sounds crazy but I was so unsure at that stage, and she was the one I wanted to hurt the least, so I thought it would be easier,” said Blake.

After he ended things with Sam, Blake wrote a five page love letter to Louise which he sent to her dad and asked him to pass it on.

“That letter was one of the most overwhelming things I had ever experienced,” said Louise, who read the letter a few days before the finale aired.

In it, Blake revealed that he’d called off his engagement with Sam and begged for Louise to give him another chance.

“My one wish is that I don’t want to just be your first love, I want to be your first, last and only,” he wrote in the letter.

More than two months after they’d last seen each other, Blake and Louise met up in Thailand to rekindle their romance.

“The moment she walked in and into my arms, I knew I was in love with her and I told her as much,” said Blake.

The couple are now planning to move in together in Perth but they’re well aware that they’re not exactly the most popular duo in the country.

“There’s been a lot of hate towards us but we’re willing to accept it for what we have,” 26-year-old Louise said.

Some of that “hate” has come from the other Bachelorettes, but Louise thinks in time they’ll forgive her for what’s happened.

“There will be girls who will be upset but we all knew what we were signing up for and we all face rejection,” she said.

“When they find their own love they’ll understand why you sometimes give things up for it.”

On the weekend Sam Frost slammed the happy couple, saying, “I was secretly hoping the rumours weren’t true”.

“It was really disappointing they didn’t come to me first and say: ‘By the way, this has happened’. I think I deserved that,” said Sam.

But Blake feels he was honest with Sam, telling Woman’s Day, “Sam knew I had feelings for Louise before any of this because I told her”.

It’s not known how much Blake and Louise were paid for the mag tell-all, but Blake’s manager, Max Markson, laughed on radio this morning when it was suggested the couple pocketed $70,000.

“You need a better agent if they are the figures you’re looking at,” said Markson to Kyle and Jackie O on Kiis FM this morning.

Blake and Louise are set to appear on The Project tonight on Channel 10.
