Bachelor star’s failed career as an Instagram influencer

MANY Bachelor stars have good careers as Instagram influencers, but one of its biggest names has been forced into real work.

Keira and Jarrod think the new Bachelorette is boring!

SHE’S one of the franchise’s biggest stars, shooting to national fame as the winner of Richie Strahan’s season of The Bachelor in 2016.

But Alex Nation’s success in reality TV hasn’t translated as seamlessly into a career as an Instagram influencer as some of her counterparts.

On Friday Alex revealed she was missing spending time with her son Elijah but had made the “quite difficult” decision to find more steady work.

“I miss him and crave the time I had with him when I was working sporadically and doing sponsored posts for ponstan (LEL),” she wrote on Instagram.

“The reality is for me, sponsored Instagram posts weren’t sustainable enough and I really wanted a full time job/career.”

After The Bachelor Alex was signed by Chadwick Models and in the last 12 months her Instagram account had included sponsored posts spruiking period pain medication and meal delivery services.

She split from Richie in mid 2017, going public with her romance with AFL teammate Maegan Luxa in August.

The couple, who became engaged last December, are rumoured to have split in April.
