MTV Video Music Awards 2024: Winners, performances and other highlights

Taylor Swift has called out Travis Kelce for the very first time during her big VMAs win, giving incredible insight into their relationship.

Hidden meaning in rise of these huge stars

Taylor Swift has dethroned Beyonce as the most awarded artist in MTV VMAs history.

The US pop star, who led the pack at tonight’s awards with 12 nominations, overtook Queen Bey on Wednesday night in New York with her victory in the Artist of the Year category.

And Swift finished off festivities with a bang, giving a rare shoutout to her boyfriend Travis Kelce while accepting the Video of the Year award.

Swift also took home Best Collaboration for her song Fortnight with Post Malone, as well as Best Direction for the music video.

But the VMAs, for the most part, was all about live music, with much of the three-hour ceremony featuring the world’s biggest artists taking the stage to perform.

A blonde-wigged Eminem hit the stage, while Katy Perry delivered a 10-minute medley of her biggest hits prior to accepting the coveted Video Vanguard award.
