Billie Eilish busted complaining to Kylie Minogue at the People’s Choice Awards

Cameras captured Billie Eilish venting to none other than Kylie Minogue at an awards show this week – and what she said has caused a stir.

Singer Billie Eilish was caught on camera complaining to none other than Australian superstar Kylie Minogue at an awards show earlier this week.

The stars were both in attendance at Monday’s People’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, and it appears Eilish didn’t think much of the calibre of attendees.

In footage filmed inside the event, Eilish could be seen sat at a table next to Minogue, telling the Padam Padam singer in a less-than-glowing tone that there are “TikTokers” present – “like her,” she continued, gesturing over her shoulder.

… then realises she’s on camera.

Eilish attempted to cover her mouth with her hand during the exchange, but her words were still audible in the footage.

While it was hardly a damning outburst, Eilish’s brief comments still caught fire on social media and raised the ire of some TikTokers, who took to – where else – TikTok to hit back.

Influencer Bryce Hall was one of those present at at the awards, and addressed Eilish’s comments in a video of his own.

“I’m just going to address this clip of Billie Eilish being disgusted that TikTokers were present at the People’s Choice … I was one of them. Billie Eilish, I am so sorry I didn’t bow down and acknowledge your greatness,” he said with some sarcasm.

“People’s Choice invited us personally – so hate on them. But the most sad thing: I was a Billie Eilish stan. I stanned you, Billie Eilish. And now I don’t think I can [TikTok dance] renegade to any of your songs anymore, so thanks for taking out all my content.”

She might have lost a fan in Hall, but others were firmly team Eilish when it came to the scourge of social media influencers at celebrity events.

“Billie Eilish talking about the plague of TikTokers is hilarious,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“She’s so real for this,” said someone else.

“She’s right, TikTokers have no business being in award shows,” another person wrote.

Barbie took home the most awards at Monday’s People’s Choice Awards, picking up five gongs across the movie categories. Taylor Swift was the other big winner, scoring four awards in the music categories.
