Adam Hyde attends TikTok Awards without girlfriend Abbie Chatfield
Fans wondered where Abbie Chatfield was when her boyfriend stepped onto the red carpet wearing an outfit almost identical to the one he wore to the ARIAs.
Adam Hyde arrived at the star-studded TikTok Awards on Wednesday evening without Abbie Chatfield.
Hyde, who is normally putting a loved-up display with Chatfield on the red carpet at events, posed for photographers alone.
While they were all over each other while being photographed outside the ARIA Awards last week, this time around Hyde was all on his lonesome as he joined the other stars.
The 35-year-old musician attended the TikTok Awards in his usual attire, a grey suit which he paired with a black shirt that showed off his chest tattoos.
In fact, his outfit looked like almost exactly the same one he wore to the awards show last week.
“Suprised she wasn’t there, they are the same,” remarked on fan on Twitter.
Another said: “He always looks like he’s in need of a bath”.
Others missed seeing the couple together on the red carpet, with one saying: “Where’s Abbie? They’re such a good looking couple”.
Chatfield did join him inside the event however, and even made a cameo appearance on stage when he performed his viral hit Dancing2.
Also on stage beside Chatfield, who was playing the bongos, was veteran Wiggle Anthony Field on the bagpipes and his nephew Dominic Field, better known as the Tree of Wisdom, who was providing some backup dancing in costume.
It comes after Hyde won the Best Video award for his viral hit Dancing2 at the ARIA Awards, and dedicated the win to his girlfriend Chatfield, who was in the audience filming with her phone like a proud stage mum.
“I really want to thank Abbie, my beautiful Abbie, because without her, this song would not exist at all.” he said on stage.
Then he finished his speech with an uncensored send-off: “To every person who supports Australian music, “you’re a sick c**t.” Uh… thanks!
Chatfield then shared her own feelings during a roving chat with host Concetta Caristo during the ceremony.
“I was almost crying, and all of his team as well was independent and it’s so important to support independent artists,” Chatfield told Caristo.
“It’s amazing for an independent artist to win an ARIA, particularly a music video that takes so much crew and so many hours and so much effort.
“So it’s not just for Adam, it’s also for the rest of the crew.”
