NAPLAN 2019: Best performing Tasmanian primary schools

PUBLIC schools have dominated the list of top Tasmanian primary school performers for the latest round of NAPLAN testing, new analysis reveals.

The full results from 2019 testing were released on Wednesday to the Federal Government’s MySchool website.

The Mercury has analysed the results of all schools, except special schools, that reported results in all NAPLAN subjects.

The average result was found by taking the school’s mean score across all subjects for the relevant year levels.

Data showed South Hobart Primary School was the top performing primary school in the state with an average school across the board of 511.8, followed by Mount Nelson Primary School (507.7) and Albuera St Primary School (505.5).
