These are the Hobart schools that have improved their NAPLAN results the most in the last five years.

An analysis of five years’ worth of NAPLAN results has revealed the schools that have improved their Year 5 and Year 9 student scores the most.

The Hobart school that improved their Year 5 results the most between 2014 and 2018 was Goodwood Primary School, in Moonah, where the average results across all subjects improved by 24.8 per cent.

Average Year 9 results at Bothwell District High School, in Bothwell, increased by 9.8 per cent, the biggest improvement in Hobart.

The analysis compared each school’s combined results for each NAPLAN subject in 2014 and compared to the same results in 2018.

Hobart’s second biggest improvement in Year 5 results over those five years was Northern Christian School, in Bridgewater, where scores increased 12.2 per cent.

The third biggest Year 5 improver was Collinsvale Primary School, in Collinsvale, where results increased 11.9 per cent over the five-year period.

The Hobart school with the second biggest Year 9 improvement between 2014 and 2018 was Bayview Secondary College, in Rokeby, where results improved 5.2 per cent.

Average results at Clarence High School, in Bellerive, increased 3.1 per cent, the third highest increase in Hobart.

Northern Christian School: 12.2 per cent

Collinsvale Primary School: 11.9 per cent

Rokeby Primary School: 7.6 per cent

Fahan School: 7.1 per cent

JRLF – Gagebrook Primary School: 6.6 per cent

Risdon Vale Primary School: 6.0 per cent

Brighton Primary School: 5.5 per cent

South Arm Primary School: 5.5 per cent

Richmond Primary School: 5.2 per cent

Bothwell District High School: 9.8 per cent

Bayview Secondary College: 5.2 per cent

Clarence High School: 3.1 per cent

Dominic College: 3.0 per cent

Southern Christian College: 1.7 per cent

Calvin Christian School: 1.2 per cent

MacKillop Catholic College: 1.0 per cent

Hilliard Christian School: 0.9 per cent

St Michael’s Collegiate School: 0.3 per cent

New Town High School: 0.1 per cent
