NINE out of 10 TasTAFE graduates are satisfied with the quality of their training, new research shows.

The recently released National Centre for Vocational Education Research’s Student Outcomes 2019 survey found TasTAFE’s 91 per cent student satisfaction was higher than the 88.1 per cent average across vocational educational and training providers nationally.

The survey also shows 86.8 per cent of TasTAFE graduates were employed or enrolled in further study after training and 64 per cent had an improved employment status after completing their training.

TasTAFE chief executive Jenny Dodd said the results backed up an internal survey conducted by Enterprise Marketing and Research Services (EMRS) which also found 90 per cent of students were satisfied with their training.

“There are always things we can do better and the feedback from the surveys

will help us plan our future training delivery,” she said.

“It’s particularly pleasing to see high levels of student satisfaction with TasTAFE’s training overall. Our students are our first priority and we have worked hard over the past few years to provide a greater student focus in everything we do.”
