Special Report: Codeifai has achieved a major commercial and development milestone with the launch of a new AI-driven URL shortener feature, which is now live for subscribers of its recently launched QR code generation and management platform ConnectQR.

The URL shortening services market is big business. According to Business Research Insights, it was valued at ~US$7bn in 2023 and was projected to reach US$36.2bn by 2032.

Codeifai (ASX:CDE) said the new product was expected to drive subscriber growth by offering the ability to effortlessly shorten long URLs while leveraging AI-powered analytics.

CDE said the addition to the existing subscription package was expected to create more revenue-generating opportunities through its pricing tiers.

In recent years, URL shortening has seen strong growth, particularly in mobile social media, where short URLs are widely used in affiliate marketing programs offered by companies like eBay, Amazon and Shopify.

Social media influencers among target market

CDE said its URL shortener was designed for marketing agencies, event organisers, social media influencers, and businesses looking to optimise link-sharing and track engagement.

The feature could attract subscribers looking to use URL shortening within the US$17bn affiliate marketing industry.

The URL shortener enhanced the link-sharing process, enabling businesses and individuals to efficiently distribute content across marketing campaigns, events and social platforms.

Through ConnectQR, CDE said subscribers gained access to detailed AI-backed analytics and insights into performance metrics, which were easily managed via its trademarked Connect dashboard.

These metrics included click-through rates, geographic distribution, and the optimal times for engagement, all of which were essential for optimising marketing strategies.

Seamless URL management

CDE said its ConnectQR subscribers benefitted from a comprehensive suite of URL shortening and management tools.

Functionality is suited for businesses managing multiple campaigns, helping to categorise and monitor performance through a single intuitive dashboard, which also aided in boosting affiliate revenue.

Key Features include:

  • Simplified Sharing – Transforming long, complex URLs into concise, easy-to-share, trackable links
  • Revenue Insights – Using advanced AI analytics to understand customer behaviour and enhance affiliate marketing efforts
  • Brand alignment – customing shortened URLs to maintain consistent branding across all channels
  • Competitive edge – ConnectQR offers similar services to competitors like Bitly and TinyURL, while incorporating URL shortening, a feature often absent in competitive QR generation services

Milestone in plan to profitability

CDE said its advanced AI analytics not only differentiated it in the market but also provided users with the insights necessary to increase affiliate marketing revenues.

No immediate revenue was expected from the URL shortener launch.

However, CDE said the product represented a critical business milestone, the result of extensive in-house technical development, and was a vital component of its plan toward profitability.

“The launch of our URL shortener, which provides AI-generated analytics to users, is the result of substantial internal R&D and feedback from both existing and potential subscribers,” CDE executive chairman and group CEO John Houston said.

“We are confident that this innovative feature will drive additional user growth for ConnectQR.

“While still in its early stages, our subscriber base is expanding rapidly, supported by Codeifai’s recent integration into Canva and strategic marketing initiatives.”
