Fitness Influencers: Who can you really trust on Instagram?

TASMANIA’S best personal trainer according to the Mercury subscribers is “absolutely chuffed” to take out the top spot, naming sincerity and hard work as the keys to success.

Michelle Leaman’s business Multi Level Fitness has won the title of best local PT.

Operating out of Zap in Terry St, Glenorchy, Ms Leaman saw the impressive list of PTs she was up against and thought her chances of winning were slim.

“I couldn’t believe we were nominated in the first place, but when the votes started coming in I was so happy and just so proud,” she said.

Ms Leaman can reel off a number of highlights since making the change from teaching body pump workouts to becoming a PT more than four years ago.

“I love seeing people get fit and achieving the best results they possibly can,” Michelle said.

“We do a lot of social things as a group, but in 2019 when we did the Point to Pinnacle to Longley, for all of us to cross that finish line was one of my proudest moments.”

Ms Leaman said being sincere and avoiding laziness was paramount for PT success.

“People are trusting you with their strength and fitness – you need to appreciate that and work hard, don’t take it for granted.”
