Abundance on the Quay in Bellerive opens Bathurst St store

A popular coffee shop has expanded its business, opening a second store in the Hobart CBD.

A POPULAR eastern shore coffee shop has expanded its business into the city.

Abundance on the Quay in Bellerive, a homewares and breakfast cafe, has opened its doors to its second store on Bathurst St — Abundance Westside.

Owner Adrian Collinson said lovers of the Eastern Shore cafe could expect to see all the similarities of the Bellerive business brought to the streets of Hobart.

“We’ve tried to replicate the Abundance food, vibe and ethos that made us so successful previously and bring it to the city,” he said.

“Abundance on the Quay has been an exciting success over the last five years.

“We’ve always been asked when we were going to expand onto the Western Shore, so we jumped at the opportunity.”

He said he expected the business’ coffee, sourced from popular Hobart coffee roaster Villino, to be a hit with western shore Tasmanians.

“We pride ourselves on home-style goodness, all our food is baked in-house. We’ve always been proud of the quality and consistency of our coffee which is why we’ve been so popular to date,” he said.

Abundance Westside, located within the Your Hobart Health building, is open 7am — 2.30pm Monday to Friday.

Mr Collinson said the business may begin weekend trade in the future.
