OVER 1000 seasonal positions are now the ready to be filled with out-of-work Tasmanians.

The jobs available range from labourers to berry pickers, apple thinners to broccolini packers, with some harvests starting as soon as October.

Horticulture Labourers

100 positions available.

Hansen Orchards needs 100 seasonal horticultural labourers to thin, pick and prune a variety of apple and cherry trees located across multiple Huon and Derwent Valley properties in Tasmania.

Harvest Workers -Broccolini

60 positions available.

Sixty people are needed to assist in picking and packing Broccolini and general farm labour in West Pine, Tasmania. Work is to commence November.

Berry Pickers

30 positions available.

Thirty workers are needed for berry harvesting at Westerway, 60 minutes from Hobart and 25 minutes from New Norfolk. Harvesting starts in December.

Apple Thinners

6 positions available.

A local farm needs the services of apple thinners to work in Tasmania’s Mountain River area. Work starts in early December for six weeks.

Apple Pickers

15 positions available.

A local Apple Orchard need 15 apple pickers to work in Tasmania’s Mountain River area. This starts March 2021 and is expected to continue for 6-8 weeks.

Apple Pickers

150 positions available.

A local Orchard is seeking 150 apple pickers to work in the Sassafras area. This work is expected to commence March 2021, and is expected to continue for 2-3 months.

Broccolini Pickers & Packers

40 positions available.

A local Broccolini needs 40 pickers and packers to work in the Cuprona area. This work starts mid-November and is expected to continue for four-five months.

Pruner/crop worker

650 positions available.

Crop work starting late October and November 2020. Work may six months depending upon season. Positions are casual and paid by the hour or by piece rate.

Fruit Picker

100 positions available.

One-hundred workers are needed on a Red Hills Berry Farm, 40 minutes from Launceston and 40 minutes from Devonport. Harvesting starts November.
