Moderna vaccine arrives in ACT as Canberra records 16 new Covid-19 cases
A ‘significant’ amount of a new vaccine has arrived in the nation’s capital as the territory records 16 Covid-19 cases.

Canberra has recorded 16 new locally acquired Covid-19 cases, bringing the total outbreak in the nation’s capital to 674.
None of the new cases were in isolation during their entire infectious period.
Seven have been linked to existing cases and nine remain under investigation.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr confirmed 12 Canberrans were now in hospital with Covid-19, including two people in the intensive care unit.
Mr Barr also announced the Moderna vaccine would be available in the ACT from today.
“The Moderna vaccine has arrived and is available in significant quantity at local pharmacies,” he said.
“If you jump online now, you may be able to get a Moderna booking today.”
The new vaccine brand will be available to Canberrans aged 12 to 59 who have not received any doses of AstraZeneca or Pfizer.
