Young achievers: Meet the Toowoomba teens making a mark

kicking goals in sport, performing on centre stage, or receiving top marks, Toowoomba's kids have bright futures ahead.Here's some from Mary MacKillop Catholic College worth keeping an eye on.

Whether they're

A passionate swimmer with an interest in butterfly stroke, O'Rourke will travel to Darwin for a tournament in 2022 after qualifying for the national team.

Erin O'Rourke, 14

Previously ranking number one in the world for Olympic weightlifting in his age group, it was no surprise Turner claimed victory representing his school and placing first in the Under 15s and 55kg division.

Archer Turner, 15

 Going from getting D grades in year 10 to being at the top of his class in physics, chemistry, methods and specialist maths, Logan has gained early entry into UniSQ for a Bachelor of Science.

Levi Logan, 18

The year 11 student founded the school's dance troupe, and she was one of the first senior students to compete in an eisteddfod. Boston is also the Queensland Ballet's team ambassador for the year.

Amity Boston, 16

While she only started playing futsal in 2021, she's been selected for teams at a district, state and national level. O'Rourke will head to Brazil in 2023 to represent Australia.
