Toowoomba detectives are looking for a young man who they allege robbed a Grand Central shop attendant at knifepoint.
Police released an image to identify the man.
It is alleged the young man entered the store shortly before 5pm Wednesday and threatened a store attendant with a knife, before stealing a mobile phone.
He is described as slim build, dark brown hair, wearing black and red flannelette shirt, black T-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
A Grand Central manager, Claire Torkington said the centre’s security team was working with police to resolve the matter.
“Our security team and local police responded swiftly,” she said.
“The safety of our customers, retailers and employees is of paramount importance and something we take very seriously.
“Grand Central is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week by our dedicated security team, as well as an extensive CCTV network, and these measures are further bolstered by our close work with local police.”
Police urge the young man or anyone who recognises him to contact police.
