Data reveals Toowoomba’s crime clusters and common offences
THREE alarming crime clusters have been located in police data, which has revealed when and where certain crimes are most likely to occur.

The Chronicle has gained shocking insight into Toowoomba’s criminal activity in the last month.
Queensland Police Service data revealed that between September 6 and October 5, 629 offences were committed in the Toowoomba police district.
Several crime clusters were identified in the data across the entire town.
The most offences occurred in a cluster in the city’s CBD where 385 offences were committed between those dates.
Of that number, 98 offences were classified as “other theft excluding unlawful entry”, and 91 good order offences occurred.
A second cluster was identified near Charlton, where 17 offences occurred, including 15 other theft offences.
Another alarmingly large cluster was identified near Rockville where nearly 200 offences occurred in the space of one month, including 47 other theft offences and 39 drug-related crimes.
The data shows that within those dates, the majority of offences were committed on Sunday mornings between 10pm and 6am.
The least amount of offences occurred on Tuesday morning at those same times.
An alarming number of offences were also committed in August throughout the whole of Toowoomba.
