Toowoomba Range crossing blocked after truck and vehicle collide

Motorists are advised to avoid the crossing while emergency services clean up a two-vehicle crash.

Both lanes of the Toowoomba Connection Road are closed to traffic after a light truck and car collided near the Table Top Drive intersection.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 4pm on Tuesday.

They arrived to find both drivers were out of their vehicle and appear to have only minor injuries.

The collision is likely to cause havoc on the road as the emergency service vehicles are blocking several lanes of traffic.

The crash comes after multiple Queensland Fire Department crews were called to a hay shed fire at an address on Oakey-Pittsworth Road in Aubigny.

A QFD spokeswoman said the fire started in some hay bales shortly after 2pm and spread to the structure.

The blaze is under control now with crews working to dampen down hotspots.
