A 37-year-old Toowoomba man has been given a notice to appear in the Magistrates Court after he allegedly caused a disturbance at a Centrelink office.
Police were called to the Bell Street office about 3pm on Thursday after staff activated a duress alarm, allegedly in response to the man kicking a glass panel.
The man is reported to have fled the building and was located a short distance away, in the Bell Street Mall.
He was taken into custody and charged with public nuisance and will front the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on January 20.
The remained closed through Thursday and reopened on Friday morning.
