Specialist police called to Gatton home

Heavy-hitting specialist police, backed up by local officers and Polair surrounded a Lockyer Valley home as part of an operation over wanted teens.

Specialist police were called to an address in Strong Street, Gatton, on November 28, 2024.

Gatton residents were greeted with the sight of heavily armed police surrounding a home and taking two teens into custody.

Specialist police arrived ton Strong Street address on Thursday morning after police tracked a stolen Toyota Kluger through the Darling Downs with the help of Polair.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the vehicle was stolen from a Rangeville home on November 23.

There are unconfirmed reports that it had been linked to a series of break and enter offences across the city in recent days.

Police arrested a 15-year-old boy at the Strong Street address.

He has been charged with a range of property offences and will appear in the Toowoomba Childrens Court on Friday.

A 16-year-old girl was also taken into custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
