A Southern Region police officer has been temporarily stood down from duty over allegations of drink driving.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a 30-year-old female constable was issued a notice to appear after allegedly returning a blood alcohol concentration of 0.206 per cent.

The officer has since been temporarily stood down from duty, and is set to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on November 10.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” the statement said.

“This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
