New England Highway crash: Firefighters free elderly driver at Highfields
An elderly person was lucky to escape with only minor injuries after a crash on the New England Highway.
Firefighters have freed an elderly patient who was encapsulated in their car after a crash on the New England Highway at Highfields.
Emergency services were called to the prang near the intersection with Plaza Circle about 11.30am Tuesday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics assessed three patients who had minor injuries. One was a person in their 80s.
The trio were taken to Toowoomba Hospital in stable conditions.
In an unrelated matter, a man has been detained by police after he crashed a ute through two fences and into a dam at Miles.
Police attended the scene on Sweet Apple Drive about 10.15am Tuesday.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the vehicle was not stolen.
The man has been taken to Miles Hospital under police guard.
Three people were lucky to escape with only minor injuries after they crashed into a tree south of Allora overnight.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Alldridge Rd at Deuchar shortly before 8pm Monday.
Paramedics treated a woman with neck and back injuries, a teenage boy with chest and neck pain, and woman with minor injuries.
The three patients were transported to the Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.
Paramedics were also called to help a man who was injured after crashing a motorbike on a private property at Roma overnight.
The man, aged in his 30s, suffered minor injuries.
