Lake Annand fire: Investigation launched after park toilet blaze

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, as an investigation into a mysterious fire at a Toowoomba public toilet begins.

Police have appealed for members of the police to come forward with information after someone set fire to the public toilets at Lake Annand Park.

Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant said the fire was started sometime between 4pm to 5pm on Tuesday near the corner of MacKenzie Street and Long Street and caused significant damage.

The Chronicle understands the toilets will be out of action for a while and Toowoomba Regional Council is yet to put a figure on how much the repairs will cost.
