Jaycob Creevey faces Toowoomba Magistrates Court for alleged public masturbation in front of young teen

A Toowoomba man has faced court for allegedly masturbating in front of a young teenage girl, with police claiming that it’s not the first time he’s been caught with his pants down in public. Here’s what happened.

An unemployed man has fronted court for a number of alleged crimes, including the serious allegation of masturbating in front of a young teen at a Toowoomba park.

Toowoomba’s Child Protection Investigation Unit charged Jaycob Edward Creevey with the indecent treatment of a child by exposure, which is alleged to have occurred at South Toowoomba, on January 12.

Police also allege the 24-year-old committed a similar act in public on Christmas Day, where he was alleged to have masturbated on a walking path along Alderley St, for which he was charged with committing an indecent act in any place to which the public are permitted access.

When asked by police to attend a station to be photographed, police allege Mr Creevey did not show up, which resulted in another charge – contravening direction of police.

It is also alleged Mr Creevey breached his bail by not showing up to court for the above matters on March 31.

Mr Creevey is also facing unrelated charges which allegedly occurred at St George on December 22, which included, drug driving while unlicensed, possessing a bong, and possessing a pair of scissors and a bowl that were used in the commission of a drug offence.

Mr Creevey’s cases were mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning, April 12, and he attended in person.

The court was told he was in the process of applying for Legal Aid funding.

The case will next be before the court on May 31.
