Former Olympic boxer Damien Duncan Hooper will spend the Christmas holidays on remand after he was charged with rape.
The 32-year-old athlete was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday and held in custody while police prepared charges.
They included two counts of rape, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count each of one count of attempted rape, obstructing police, obstructing police and trespass.
His matters were briefly mentioned in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday with a full brief of evidence as ordered.
Mr Hooper did not apply for bail.
Magistrate Michelle Dooley adjourned the matter to February 12, 2025.
