Firefighters working to free woman trapped after Warrego Highway rollover at Jondaryan

Fireys have gone into action with hydraulic cutting equipment to free a woman who was encapsulated after her vehicle rolled on the Warrego Highway west of Toowoomba.

Firefighters are using hydraulic cutting equipment to cut off the driver’s side door of a vehicle that rolled on the Warrego Highway, trapping a woman.

Emergency services were called to the incident in Jondaryan about 1.45pm on Thursday.

They arrived to find a small child and an adult woman had been affected by the crash.

The child was able to get itself free of the wreck and was being cared for by passers-by.

Meanwhile, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews are dismantling part of the car to free the woman.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman and child appear to have only suffered minor injuries.

The crash has blocked part of the highway and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
