Emergency services respond to fatal crash on Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road

A motorist crashed into a pole on a country road near Toowoomba sparking the Forensic Crash Unit to investigate.

A Harristown man has died after they crashed into a pole at Biddeston, about 20km west of Toowoomba in the early hours of Friday morning.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road and Croxley Road shortly before 6am.

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

Sadly the 46-year-old man could not be saved and died at the scene.

There are no reports of other people injured in the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

They appealed to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.
