Traffic moving west along the Warrego Highway towards Toowoomba has been impacted by a two-vehicle crash that left a car stranded in the middle of the bushy highway.
A Queensland Police spokesman said initial reports suggested no one was seriously injured in the crash at Helidon on Monday afternoon, April 7, near the Postman’s Ridge intersection.
He said no one was trapped in their vehicles, and a tow truck was en route to remove a vehicle from the middle of the highway.
It’s understood traffic has been impacted by the crash but the road remains open.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were called to the crash at 12.20pm to treat four patients.
He said three primary school aged children were transported to Toowoomba hospital along with a man in his 40s who had minor chest injuries.
The truck driver was also assessed on scene but declined to be taken to hospital for treatment.
