Brett Knecht: Tributes flow for kind hearted truckie killed in horror crash
The Nobby and Clifton communities are mourning the loss of a kind hearted truckie who was tragically killed in a fatal crash west of Toowoomba.

Nobby truck driver Brett Knecht, who died in a horror crash on the Warrego Highway at Bowenville, has been remembered as a man who loved farming, big engines and music.
“My favourite memories as a child was dancing to the chicken with him at grandma and grandad’s 60th birthday party,” Jennah Knecht said.
“My favourite memories as an adult was a sneaky session with a cruiser in our hands.”
Mr Knecht was killed when his B-Triple truck collided with a Holden Astra about 8.30am on
The collision also killed a 22-year-old Pialba woman.
As a result of the collision, the truck left the road and crashed into a pole.
“Brett Knecht was such a good and decent man, my heart breaks for his wife Deb and son Cameron and daughter Taila,” friend Maree Oberhardt said
“I hope everyone takes a minute in respect for Brett because he truly deserves it, he was delivering freight for us to keep Australia moving.
“Beefy you’ve earned your wings, you will be truly missed.”
No passengers were in either vehicle.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage to come forward.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by friend Ted Masters to support Mr Knecht’s family.
“As most of you would know the bills don’t stop coming when you lose a loved one so if I can raise money to help them out with the ongoing costs then at least that’s one less thing they have to worry about,” he said.
