INDYCAR champion Will Power will make his homecoming debut when he races a V8 Supercar down the runway of Australia's newest airport Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport on September 28.

Airport developer, the Wagner family has flown the recently crowned Indycar champion to Australia to take part in the community open day.

Wagners director Joe Wagner said it was a real coup to have Will race at the open day.

"It's going to be fantastic and we can't wait to give him the hero's welcome he deserves," Mr Wagner said.

The Toowoomba-‐born and bred racing champ said he was thrilled to be back in Australia and excited to be part of another historic moment for the country.

"One of the highlights has certainly been appearing on the David Letterman Show and one of the next will be racing down the straight of Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport's runway," laughed the 33-‐year-old.
