It’s been long-talked about and debated but the NRL’s historic debut in Las Vegas is set to kick of season off with a bang.
A US invasion has long been on the cards for Australian sports but none have yet been able to pull it off.

But the NRL has made it work finally in 2024 and been blown away by the success.
ARL Commission chairman Peter V’landys told Fox Sports News it had already done better than he envisioned.
“It’s exceeded my expectations,” V’landys said. “I thought we’d be doing small steps, but it’s more than small steps, it’s big steps.
“To see this many Australians here, it’s unbelievable.
“You always have concerns and always doubt yourself. But coming here tonight has absolutely alleviated any concerns.
“I just think, how big is this going to be in year two, three, four and five.”
V’landys said the move would be worth 10s of millions of dollars but that the advertising and publicity was worth 10s of millions of dollars itself.
With five more years already booked in, and even more being teased, the Vegas trip could prove to be an NRL fan’s mecca going forward.
However, the biggest question is when does the game actually start.
