Titans assistant Jim Dymock has walked out on the club, heaping even more pressure on coach Justin Holbrook.

Dymock was informed his contract wasn’t going to be renewed beyond this year and so chose to leave the club immediately, according to News Corp.

The Titans confirmed Dymock’s exit on Monday afternoon.

“Gold Coast Titans assistant coach Jim Dymock has finished in his role with the club after three seasons with the NRL side,” a statement read.

“We thank Jim for his time on the Coast and wish him and his family well in the future.”

News Corp reports Holbrook is safe, for now, but Titans powerbrokers have discussed his future following the Round 16 loss to the Knights — their sixth straight loss.

Dymock had been an assistant to Holbrook since 2020 after previously being at the Sharks and Bulldogs.

He was in charge of the Titans’ defence but with the club conceding the second most points in the competition (418) so far this season he’s been shown the door.

It comes after the Titans cut ties with high performance manager Klint Hoare.

The Titans have emerged as the biggest disappointment this season after missing out on a semi finals appearance by one point last season.

They currently sit 15th with the two points from the bye lifting them up from last place.

Holbrook was re-signed in mid-2020 on a new deal that keeps him at the helm until the end of 2024.

“I haven’t heard a thing from anyone at the club — I am confident I will be coaching the Titans next year,” he told News Corp after the Round 16 loss.

“I honestly don’t know where the rumours (about him being sacked) are coming from.”
