Brisbane Broncos young gun Teui “TC” Robati will front court after allegedly causing a car to dangerously swerve across several lanes.
The 19-year-old, who debuted with the Broncos in Round 12 of the 2021 NRL season, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle on September 5 and issued with a notice to appear in court.
Police will allege he was the passenger in a car travelling down St Pauls Terrace in Fortitude Valley just after 9pm.
A Queensland Police spokesman said it would be alleged he pulled the steering wheel, causing it to swerve across two lanes towards Amelia Street and back onto St Pauls Terrace.
Officers intercepted the car between King and Alexander Street, speaking with the female driver and Mr Robati.
The driver has not been charged.
Mr Robati will appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
His charges mark the third incident in the club’s off-season, with star player Anthony Milford arrested over an alleged assault earlier this week and Jordan Riki injured in a fight with a teammate last week.
