NRL SuperCoach Easter Monday wrap: Terrell May goes large as emotions get better of Tigers
Anger at Lachlan Galvin’s exit from the Wests Tigers exploded in an emotion-charged derby against Parramatta – but Terrell May is the big SuperCoach winner.
How do you sum up a game that had everything?
There were so many storylines in this one but there is only one storyline SuperCoaches care about — the stats.
Here’s how it panned out from a SuperCoach perspective, but read on for all the drama. NRL really is the best reality TV.
WINNERS
* Terrell May (101) - He’s been the SuperCoach revelation of the year and finally notched a try. Well done to the 6.5 per cent who captained.
* Mitchell Moses (94) - He was the difference on the field but is he a SuperCoach option? No. The Eels have the bye next week and then Origin comes for Moses. The whole team lifted because he was there.
* Isaiah Iongi (75) - SuperCoaches have a huge decision to make. He’s made well over $200K so is an easy cash-in, especially with the bye next week. But his two tries have also set up another round of price rises.
LOSERS
* J’maine Hopgood - The early-season fancy is averaging only 50 for the year. Not the same player after a serious back injury.
* Jack Bird (16) - Pulled by the coach for ill-discipline.
