NRL SuperCoach DPP updates round 18: Keaon Koloamatangi biggest winner

The final round of position updates for 2025 will flush through when lockout ends after this weekend. See who’s earned dual status and check our watchlist for next year.

The next - and final - round of SuperCoach position updates for 2025 will flush through when the game opens from lockout on Monday.

Keaon Koloamatangi is by far the biggest SuperCoach winner after having FRF added to 2RF. But there’s also bad news with the likes of Zac Hosking and Latrell Mitchell failing to earn dual position.

See full explanations on relevant players below, plus our watchlist for next season.

CONFIRMED DPPS

* Keaon Koloamatangi - FRF added to 2RF

Has played six games at FRF (soon to be seven this weekend) and well-and-truly earns that position.

* Jaxon Purdue - 5/8 added to CTW

Named back at centre this week but has started five games at five-eighth.

* Kurt Capewell - CTW added to 2RF

The Queensland Origin hero started four games at centre for the Warriors.

* Brodie Jones - FRF added to 2RF

Started four games at FRF for the Knights.

* Kurt Donoghoe - 2RF added to HOK

Three starts at lock for the Dolphins and set for his fourth this week.

* Heath Mason - 5/8 added to FLB

Named at fullback this week but has started three times at five-eighth.

* Tom Dearden - HFB added to 5/8

Set for his fifth start at halfback this week.

* Kyle Flanagan - HFB added to 5/8

Has started three games at halfback for the Dragons.

* Marata Niukore - FRF added to 2RF

Started five games at prop.

* Salesi Foketi - FRF added to 2RF

Started three games at prop and generally playing through the middle for the Roosters off the bench.

WATCHLIST FOR 2026

Repeating from above, next week’s DPP changes are the last of the year, meaning no more players will earn dual status this season. However, a number of players are on our watchlist for next season, including:

* Latu Fainu - Currently 5/8 only, HFB potential

Played three games as a middle off the bench, started once at HFB and named there again this week. With Jahream Bula injured and Mason to fullback, Fainu should get a good run in the position.

* Jake Averillo - Currently CTW only, FLB potential

Played two games at fullback during Origin.

* Izack Tago - Currently CTW only, 2RF potential

Played one game in back row and one off bench.

* Joash Papalii - Currently FLB only, CTW and 5/8 potential

Spent 78 minutes on the wing in round 12 off the bench, had two further games for minimal minutes off the bench, then one game starting at five-eighth.

* Tom Trbojevic - Currently FLB only, CTW potential

Named at centre this week and it could stick for 2026 if he stays there for the remainder of this season.

* Zac Hosking - Currently 2RF only, FRF potential

Very close to gaining dual status in round 12, but his situation hasn’t changed since. Hosking started the season on the edge before getting injured. He then played three games off the bench, mainly as a middle, before starting once at prop.

* Latrell Mitchell – Currently FLB only, CTW and 5/8 potential

Got very close to DPP in both rounds 6 and 12. He started two games at five-eighth, plus played half a game there in round 5 despite being named at centre.

* Ben Hunt - Currently 5/8 only, HOK potential

With Ezra Mam back, Hunt looks set to return from a hamstring injury as a hooker.

* J’Maine Hopgood - Currently 2RF only, HOK potential

Although never officially named there, Hopgood has played some hooker for the Eels.

Sharpe made a great fist of the five-eighth spot for the Knights before last week’s injury, but DPP rules dictate that we can’t add another position as players have a maximum of two positions.

* Jayden Campbell - Currently 5-8/FLB

Playing halfback for the Titans but available for SuperCoach at FLB (where he played one game as an injury stop-gap) and 5/8, which were the only positions he played last season.
